Preparing for Consultant Selection

Wales Deanery offers a Preparing for Consultant Selection course to support trainees within a Wales training programme, who are within one year to 18 months of CCT, with their next career transition.  These full day events run several times a year between September and April.  To be eligible, trainees need to be within a year or 18 months of CCT at the time of the course and must be a trainee on the Wales Training Programme. Trainees from outside of Wales will not be accepted onto the course.

The course covers:

Understanding the role of the Consultant;  Finding and applying for jobs; Honing your CV, Interview practice; Preparing for transition to your new post
