Resources for Career Helpers
Career choice, development and management are pro-active lifelong processes which are to every stage of medical education, training and work. Career related activities should not be regarded as ‘added-on’ but fully integrated into the Foundation Programme and Specialty Training curricula. The Educational Supervisors input into training programmes should incorporate opportunities for reflection and discussion regarding each individual student’s or trainee doctor’s career choice and development. You are likely to be their first level of career support.

- Tools and information which you can use in helping doctors to plan, explore and develop careers and career management skills
- Generic materials and activities used during curriculum-based careers sessions in the Foundation Programme
- Information about how the Deanery Careers Team can support you and provide expert support with complex career situations
