The Wales Deanery has been working on making several training and development resources available for SAS doctors. Some of the resources are outlined below.
OnExamination provides expert and highly interactive resources for exam preparation of most major postgraduate qualifications.
The Deanery can offer a limited number of doctors access to one of the following exam preparation resources.
If you like to apply to any of these resources, simply contact training for SAS.
The BMJ Personal Learning Needs Assessment Tool (PLNAT) is an advanced online interactive learning resource which is available to all SAS doctors in Wales.
The PLNAT works by first ascertaining your learning needs through an interactive set of multiple answer questions, following this, the software will suggest learning modules that reflect your strengths and weaknesses in the particular topic.
PLNAT is available in the following 7 specialities: -
All 7 modules are available to all SAS doctors free at the point of use.
Once again, if you like to apply to any of these resources, simply contact training for SAS.
The Deanery has established a desire for Generic Courses amongst SAS doctors. Generic courses include management skills, such as Leadership and Communication workshops, as well as non-mangement courses in Teaching Techniques and Medical Law.
We hope to roll out the courses over the next few years.
To keep update to date on all our resources, please email training for SAS and ask to be placed on the SAS doctors mailing list.
Date for your Diary SAS Conference 25th September 2012 Llandrindod Wells, Powys.
