Post-CCT Fellows
This is a recent initative which allows individuals who have obtained a CCT, the opportunity to achieve further training and work in an environment of service delivery that allows them to demonstrate they have the ability and confidence to perform at the level of a consultant.
These posts will not be offered unless they have something additional to add in the way of training. Most hospitals will be able to offer enrolment on to a Cardiff University Certificate and/or Diploma of Medical Education. Some locations will be able to offer additional Deanery certificated ATSM training, and some locations will be able to offer active participation in ongoing research activity.
These posts are offered for a maximum of 2 years and are appointed to via competitive interview. Trainees will be able to apply for consultant posts at any time during these posts.
