The overall emphasis of our quality management framework is to ensure that the Deanery's processes are fit for purpose, sufficiently robust and not unnecessarily burdensome. A greater emphasis is placed upon data handling and reporting from existing data sources in order to reduce the burden of inspection upon our stakeholders. The Deanery has adopted a risk-based approach to quality management which enables us to address areas of concern in a proportionate manner.
Our Quality Management Framework is comprised of three inter-related elements of evidence, surveys and visits and is, in turn, underpinned by the Deanery's Quality Committee. These elements enable us to monitor and report on the quality of postgraduate medical education and training across Wales.
