Arrangements for students to obtain ID cards for access to University resources including libraries and online provision, is as follows:
New students who attend taught sessions as part of their programme (i.e. MSc & Pg Diploma in Medical Education ‘face to face’) will be able to have a full University Student ID card produced as part of the induction arrangements which take place as part of the first module, which begins in September 2012. Details of the venue for ID card production will be given on the programme sent out by the course co-ordinator.

Outside of these arrangements, a student may collect a student card from the Security Centre, Park Place.
New students undertaking their studies on a distance or e-learning programme (i.e. Pg Diploma in Dental Studies; Pg Certificate/Pg Diploma/MSc in Medical Education via e-learning) will not require a student ID card unless they anticipate using the University’s campus facilities.
Students on distance or e-learning programmes are able to access online resources using their usernames and passwords. Students wishing to use other Distance Learning Services, e.g. Inter Library Loans Service, will need to obtain a library number.

If a returning student requires a replacement Cardiff University Student Card, they will need to go to the Security Centre, Park Place. There is a £10 charge for a replacement of lost card.
