Short Courses
These courses are organised as and when there is a need and taught by members of the Academic Section of Medical and Dental Education.
Experienced clinicians as well as relative newcomers to teaching such as Specialty Trainees and recently qualified nurses, pharmacists and dentists are attracted to our study days on a variety of contemporary issues, for example: Performance Issues in Doctors, Creating Educational Change, Educational Supervision, Personal Tutoring, Becoming an Effective Mentor/Mentee, Using Simulators for Training, Supporting Trainees with their Careers, Effective Leadership in Healthcare Education, Dealing with Supervision Dilemmas, Peer Review of Teaching, Writing for Publication in the Social Sciences, Achieving Inclusivity in Clinical Education, Spicing up your Lectures.
