This set of materials is designed for a one-hour teaching session aimed at encouraging Foundation doctors, during their final Year 1 rotation, to begin critically evaluating their career plans for after F2, and developing contingency plans if first choices for specialty recruitment do not go to plan. In the "Roads to Success" career model, decision-making is the third key step in career planning, after self-assessment and exploration.
