Shortlisting

All correctly submitted applications will be considered. Those which pass the long listing stage ( which considers eligibility to apply for that post) will go on to be scored. Applications will be shortlisted against the nationally agreed person specification, using a scoring system. The top scoring applicants will be invited to interview. The Deanery will invite more people to interview than there are posts available as this makes it more likely that they will be able to make an offer that will be accepted.

If you are shortlisted

  • You will either be notified about the time, date and venue for the interview by email or letter or you may be asked to book your interview slots online.
  • Ideally you will be given 5 working days notice of any interview, however late notice may occur if gaps arise due to candidates dropping out. As communication will be via email you must ensure you have a valid, accessible email address which you visit regularly.
  • You will be required to confirm that you wish to attend the interview.

If you are not shortlisted

  • Unfortunately due to the large volume of applications we are unable to contact unsuccessful candidates. If you have not heard by the interview date you can assume you have not been shortlisted.
  • If you are not successful at the shortlisting stage you can request feedback.
