3D Developing Doctors to Deliver


Do you want to:

• Enhance your personal and professional development?

• Understand and influence the NHS in Wales?

• Develop a project which will improve health care?

The 3D Programme will provide:

• Knowledge and skills to enhance your engagement with NHS development in Wales

• A group of similarly motivated GPs

• Support and guidance in developing your project.

Programme Structure:

• Six one day modules in South Wales (Bridgend)

• Three one day modules in North Wales (Wrexham)

• The programme consists of six modules and applicants are encouraged to attend all of the modules. This can, however, be done over 2 years.

Module Structure:

• Morning session, Project Clinic:

structured session utilising group approach to problem solving on individual projects

• Afternoon session, Skills and Knowledge

A combination of programme facilitators and outside speakers

Areas including:

• Organisational Cultures – Why do doctors & managers disagree?

• Personality profiling – How your personality affects your performance

• Project Management – How to successfully manage your projects

• Influencing/Negotiating skills – How to get ahead in healthcare

• Presentation skills – how to project your message

• Situational Leadership – What makes for effective clinical leadership?
