Quality Unit
About the Quality Unit
Welcome to the Quality Unit of the Wales Deanery. The Unit was established during 2006 in response to the creation of the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB), which merged with the General Medical Council (GMC) on 1st April 2010. The Quality Unit works with all sections of the Deanery and has a dual remit of quality management and quality enhancement set within the GMC's Quality Framework.
Utilising a risk based quality management framework comprised of routine and reactive processes, we ensure that when training does not meet national and local standards that changes are implemented to improve quality.
