This newly created workstream takes a lead role in informing and defining strategy for specific projects and initiatives in postgraduate medical and dental education across Wales. This includes leadership and membership of project boards and responsibility for co-ordinating initiatives and co-ordinating their development and implementation.
We provide a focus and co-ordinated lead across the Deanery on a wide variety of specific projects and initiatives and developments in postgraduate medical and dental education across Wales, ensuring that they are delivered on time and on budget.
We oversee the progression of projects through from project development and approval, to development of the research question and study design, assessment of strategic importance, operational feasibility and resource implications.

If the iDoc project is successful, then it will be our intention to submit a bid to the Welsh Government to provide each junior doctor in the training grades in Wales with such a mobile device and access to this type of information.
The unit also works with the University Librarian on the provision of access for all training grade doctors to the Cardiff University E-Library.
It is our intention to co-ordinate a seamless electronic portal between Cardiff University and NHS Wales to improve the electronic provision for postgraduate medical education.
We are building links between undergraduate and postgraduate training.
