Quality Management Framework

A Quality Management Framework has been developed for the Dental Postgraduate Education in Wales based on one developed by the School's Quality Unit. The structure has been reviewed, so that it is fit for purpose and addresses the needs of future QA Visits, for example, Committee of Postgraduate dental Deans & Directors, COPDEND and the General Dental Council, GDC.

The Quality Management Framework comprises of four areas:

Quality Management Committee

The Quality Management (QM) is undertaken by the 'Quality Management (QM) Committee'. It's main role is to manage the development and maintenance of procedures to ensure the quality of all aspects of dental educational provision, and to contribute to the continual improvement of the quality of postgraduate dental education, training and assessment in Wales.

The Quality Management Committee reports to the Dental Postgraduate Management Board and the 'Committee of Postgraduate dental Deans & Directors', COPDEND and these committees feed into the Quality Management Committee. Please see the Constitution & Terms of Reference document.
