Career Planning - Who Can Help Me

Who Can Help Me?

image-115275-webThis section contains information on the Deanery and Career support structures and processes in place to help you throughout your training pathway. As your medical career progresses, sometimes expert help is needed with challenges such as:

  • Doubts in early months of the Foundation Programme
  • Doubts about chosen specialty
  • No firm options after a recruitment round
  • Not progressing in chosen pathway
  • Changes in personal circumstances e.g. health, family
  • Thinking about resigning
  • Doubts about choice of career

Some initial guidance on these issues is contained in the FAQ section but more expert local or Deanery support may be needed at this stage. Download the Career Support Leaflet for information on who is there to help you. These leaflets are also on display in most Postgraduate Centres.

Browse the rest of this section for useful career guidance information, contacts and links.
