The Information Management and Technology (IM&T) Unit provides a suite of services commensurate with the needs of the modern workforce in the 21st century. IM&T continues to evolve to meet the challenging needs of us all in busy working environments. Our goal is to be customer focused and we recognise that our customers include Deanery colleagues and the widest range of medical staff in Wales, from F1 trainees through to consultants.
We recognise that very little remains unchanged for long in the modern world and we work to embrace change and provide services which reflect the frequently changing needs of doctors across Wales. As well as our core services which include INTREPID, PLATO, Specialist Training Database for G.P. and the PLATO service, IM&T is always available to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to Technology enhanced learning, Software Development, testing and implementation.
IM&T currently comprises two key functions, the INTREPID team and the E-Learning Unit.
The Information Management and Technology section (IM & T) works to serve training grade doctors in Wales, by providing the highest possible quality of education and training and to respond to their needs and interests within the framework of a patient-centred health service, mindful of the principles and directions set by the Welsh Government.
